World Tallest Lego Tower
It has been on the news today that children in Brazil have built the tallest Lego tower in the world. With some help from their parents and a crane, these children built a Lego tower which consisted of 500,000 pieces of Lego and is 102ft tall. Just beating the old record of 101ft set in Chile last Novemeber.
Have to admit it is pretty impressive
Seems to me that a BNP dream has comes true tomorrow, just in France not Britain.
From tomorrow France are banning the Burka in all public spaces. However not only is this legislation racist and against peoples human rights. It also seems to be very poorly thought out. The process for anyone caught covering their face will be warned, taken to caught and could face fines of upto 150Euros. Also anyone found guilty of forcing people to cover their face will be fined up to 30000Euros.
I find this to be slightly hypocritical of them. The French President Nicolas Sarkozy said that people wearing the burka are imprisoned not to show their face. Not only does this show the nativity of not understanding the religion of Islam, but also whatever happened to free will. He is basically forcing people to not cover their face in public.
Also does this law only apply to French residents, or anyone else visiting France too.
I can not believe that the European Union have not intervened to prevent this legislation from going ahead. I hope that European Union do get involved because it is a breach of the European Convention of Human Rights 1951. (it has to be)
